If you go down Gondal Road, you’ll find us at Vijay Plot, number 16/26. We make bright bars here. It’s a noisy, hot kind of job, but it’s what we’ve always done. The workshop floor is where most of the action is. There are machines running almost all day, and the smell of hot metal and machine oil is something you just get used to after a week. We don't have a big corporate office or a waiting room. Our workspace is right there next to the production line. We handle the local orders mostly. People around Rajkot know our name because we’ve been on this same plot for many years. The walls could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, but we usually spend our money on the equipment instead. It’s a very straightforward operation. We get the raw material in, process it through the machines, and send it out on the trucks. Sometimes the power cuts out for an hour and we have to sit around and wait, which is always frustrating. But usually, we’re just busy grinding, cutting, and finishing the bars. The crew is small, just a few of us who know these machines inside and out. We don’t talk much while we are working because it’s too loud to hear anything anyway. We just get through the daily quota and head home when the sun goes down.
