Shreeji Brass

Shreeji Brass has been sitting on Street No.3 in Krishna Nagar for quite a long time now. We are tucked inside the Inderprasth Society, and most folks just use the Hanuman Temple nearby as a landmark to find us. It’s a noisy street sometimes, especially with the temple bells and the traffic, but we’re used to it. The workshop is always humming with the sound of the machines. We work mostly with brass parts. It’s a messy process and our hands are usually covered in metal dust by noon. We don’t have a big fancy showroom. It’s just a practical space where we get things done. Some days the heat in the shop gets pretty bad, so we keep the big fans running all day long. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. We mostly just focus on the orders we have on the table. Sometimes someone from the neighborhood pops in just to say hello or ask for a small repair. We’ve seen the kids in Krishna Nagar grow up and the buildings around us change, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and work. There isn't much to say other than we just try to get the pieces right with the metal we have. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the evening. We close up when the sun goes down and do it all again the next day.
