Shree Ram Castings

Down in the Atika Industrial Area of Rajkot, you’ll find our foundry on Marg Number 16/18. It’s a gritty part of town, full of smoke and the sound of hammers hitting metal. Shree Ram Castings is right in the thick of it. The air inside the shop is always warm because of the furnaces we use to melt down the metal. We spend our days working with molds and pouring hot iron, so it’s not exactly a clean job. Our clothes are usually stained with grease and soot by the time we head home. Rajkot is a hub for this kind of industry, so we have plenty of neighbors doing similar work. We don’t have an expensive office with air conditioning. We just have a small corner with a desk where we handle the invoices and talk to the truck drivers. The floor is covered in sand which we use for the casting process, so it’s a bit messy underfoot. We’ve been at this for years and our hands are pretty calloused from the work. We don't bother with a lot of talk or fancy presentations. If someone wants something cast, they bring us the specs and we get to work. It’s honest, hard labor that keeps the lights on and we are proud of the stuff we make.
