You’ll find Shree Industries opposite Vikas Rolling Shutter on NH-8B, along Narmada Road. Being right on the highway means we get a lot of noise from the passing trucks, and the air is always a bit heavy with exhaust. It’s an industrial stretch, so the neighbors are all doing similar types of heavy work. The shop is a big open space with a high roof, which helps a bit with the heat, though it still gets pretty intense in the middle of the day. We’ve got our machinery laid out in rows, and there’s usually a lot of scrap metal piled up near the back entrance. It’s not a place for a quiet conversation. We’re usually shouting over the sound of the equipment or the traffic outside. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a filing cabinet that doesn’t always close right. We don’t worry too much about the appearance of the place. As long as the machines are running and the orders are moving out, we’re happy. The work is tough on the hands and we’re usually pretty tired by the time we close up for the evening. It’s a no-frills kind of life, just keeping the business going and dealing with the daily reality of being on a busy highway. We don't have many visitors who aren't here for business, so we keep the focus on the floor and deadlines.
