Shree Ganga Cotgin Private Limited

Our setup is out on the Highway Road near Village Targhadi. It’s quite a bit away from the main city traffic of Rajkot, which is nice in some ways but means we’re out here in the open. Shree Ganga Cotgin has been sitting on this piece of land, Revenue Survey No. 319, for some time. Being a cotton ginning place, there’s always white fluff flying around everywhere. You can't really escape it. The trucks come in from the farms around Paddhari-Rajkot, loaded up high with raw cotton. We see the same drivers all the time. It’s loud when the machines are running, and we spend a lot of time just maintaining the equipment so it doesn't break down right when we need it most. The sun gets really hot out here by the road. There isn't much shade unless you’re inside the main shed. We have a small crew of people from the nearby villages who come in every day. It’s a simple routine. We get the cotton, process it, and stack the bales. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather turns bad, and we have to scramble to cover everything up. It’s practical work. No one is wearing suits here; we’re mostly in dusty clothes just trying to finish the day's load. It’s just how things go at a ginning press like ours. We just do the work and head home when the sun goes down.
