Shree Deshani Brass Foundry

Shree Deshani Brass Foundry is based out of Navarangpara in the Mavdi Plot area of Rajkot. If you know this part of Gujarat, you know it is mostly about industry and metal. Our place at number 5 is where the work happens every day. It is usually quite loud because of the machinery and the heat from the furnace is something you just get used to after a week or two. We handle a lot of brass here. There are piles of scrap and finished parts sitting in different corners of the shop floor. Most mornings start with checking the molds and making sure the sand is right. People walk in and out, mostly regular faces from around the neighborhood or guys delivering materials. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. Just a desk where the paperwork gets stacked up and a few chairs that have seen better days. The walls are a bit stained from the smoke and dust but that is how a foundry looks when it is actually running. Rajkot 360004 is a busy pin code and there is always some truck trying to squeeze through the lanes nearby. We just keep our heads down and get through the orders we have on the books. It isn't a glamorous job but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We usually shut things down in the evening when the light starts to go, and then we do it all again the next morning.
