Shradha Forge Pvt. Ltd. is based at G-508 in the Gidc area of Metoda. It's a busy industrial estate, and we’ve been here for a long time. The workshop is usually hot because of the forge, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the metal roof. It’s not a quiet place at all. You can hear the machines running from the street. Kalawad Road always has a lot of trucks passing by, which makes getting in and out a bit of a chore sometimes. We don't have any fancy offices or a big team of sales people. It’s mostly just the guys on the floor getting the work done. Some days the machines give us trouble, but we’ve been at this long enough to know how to fix things ourselves. We eat our lunch together near the back entrance where there's a bit of a breeze. Most of us live in Lodhika or nearby, so we're all locals here. We don't use much big language or have a mission statement hanging on the wall. We just show up at G-508 every morning and start the fires. It’s hard work and your clothes get dirty, but that's just how the forging business is. If you're looking for us, look for the big blue gates in the Gidc block. We've been part of this neighborhood for years now and everyone knows the sound of our hammers.
