Shiv Shakti Auto Engg. Works

If you head down to Plot No. 23-C in Bhakti Nagar, you’ll find our workshop. We are situated in Udyog Nagar, which is part of the Gidc area. It’s a loud place with all the machines running and the sound of metal being worked on all day long. Shiv Shakti Auto Engg. Works is just a place where we get our hands dirty and finish the jobs people bring us. The floors are usually covered in a bit of oil or shavings, no matter how much we sweep. That’s just how it is in an engineering shop. Gidc is always full of trucks moving materials around, so there’s a lot of noise and movement from sunup to sundown. We start early because it gets too hot in the middle of the day to do the heavy lifting. Bhakti Nagar has a lot of shops like ours, so we know most of our neighbors. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. Usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. We’ve been working at this plot for years and we’ve seen the area change a lot. It used to be much quieter back then. Now, everything is moving fast. We just keep our heads down and handle the work that comes through the door. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We are just local people doing what we know.
