Shilp Ceramics is based out of Plot No. G-1317 in the Metoda Gidc in Rajkot district. Ceramic work is a big part of the economy here in Gujarat, and we’ve been doing our part in this industrial zone for a while now. The process involves a lot of heat and careful timing with the kilns. Our workers are usually covered in a bit of dust by the end of their shifts, but that’s just the nature of working with clay and minerals. We have a large shed where we store the raw materials and the finished pieces. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially when the machinery is running at full capacity, but we like the energy of it. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or marketing experts. We figure if the products are solid, people will keep coming back to us. We’ve had to learn a lot over the years about how to get the temperatures just right and how to avoid cracks in the batches. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes. We mostly deal with other businesses that need our ceramics for their own projects. It’s a steady life and we’ve made a lot of friends among the other factory owners on this road. We just keep our heads down and focus on the production line, making sure everything is moving as it should.
