SAND-Cast Industries

We are located out at Jay Industrial Park in Vavdi, right on Plot No. 1, Survey 23. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s where all the industrial action is. As the name says, we do sand casting, which is a messy but rewarding job. The foundry is hot and there is sand everywhere, but that’s how you get the metal shapes right. We spend our days melting metal and pouring it into the molds we’ve prepared. It takes a lot of patience and a bit of muscle. The guys here are used to the heat and the hard work. We aren't wearing suits or sitting in air-conditioned offices all day. Most of us have soot on our hands by lunch. We’ve got a small area where we keep the finished casts before they go out to the customers. It’s a straightforward operation without any unnecessary bells and whistles. We started here because the space was right for a foundry, and we’ve grown into the plot over the years. When the furnaces are running, you can feel the heat from the road. It’s a tough environment, but there is something satisfying about seeing a liquid metal turn into a solid part. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next pour, making sure everything is handled safely. The sand we use has to be just the right texture, so checking the piles is one of the first things we do. We're just a bunch of regular people doing the hard work.
