Amrut Machine Tools

Our workshop is located in the Samrat Industrial Area on Gondal Road. We are right opposite Repal Forging, so it’s easy to find if you’re in this part of Rajkot. This is a very old industrial patch of the city. We have been here for quite some time, dealing with machine tools and all sorts of hardware. The floor is usually a bit oily and there are metal shavings everywhere, but that’s just how a tool shop is. We have some old lathes and milling machines that we use daily. It gets very noisy when everyone is working at the same time, especially in the middle of the afternoon. We don't have a fancy office upstairs. Most of the business happens right on the shop floor over a cup of tea. We talk to the customers about what parts they need or what repairs are coming up. It’s a practical environment. The air is always heavy with the smell of cutting oil and cold steel. Sometimes we stay late if a customer has a machine down and needs a part urgently. There isn't much for decoration, just some racks of tools and a few old stools. It's a small crew of us, and we've all worked together for years. We know the machines inside out. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished by the end of the day. It is hard work, but we are used to the noise.
