Sagar Manufactures

Our workshop is located at number 4 in Mani Nagar, right near Ashok Machine Tools in the Mavdi Plot area of Rajkot. Being in Gujarat, we are surrounded by a lot of other small factories, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or the whine of a lathe coming from somewhere nearby. We have been at this address for quite a while now. The building is made of concrete and has high ceilings to help with the heat, but it still gets very warm by two o'clock. We make various parts and components here. The floor is covered in metal shavings most of the time, and we have to sweep it out every evening before we lock up. It's a place where we wear heavy boots and clothes that we don't mind getting stained with oil and grease. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks professional. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come by and look at the stuff we have sitting on the pallets. We talk to the guys at the other shops during the break times and sometimes we borrow tools from each other if something breaks down. It is a community of makers and we are just one small part of it. We work hard and try to get the dimensions right on every piece we finish. The day starts at eight and we keep going until the work is done.
