Ramkisan Traders

You can find us at Plot No. 8/10, right on the corner of Mavadi. We are on Suraj Besan Street, which stays pretty dusty because of all the trucks. Being near the Ambika Weigh Bridge means there is always a line of heavy vehicles waiting their turn. It is noisy and there is a lot of honking, but it keeps the area lively. We deal with a lot of traders and drivers who stop by while they wait for their weight receipts. Our spot on the corner is easy to find, though the traffic makes it tricky to park sometimes. We spend the morning unloading sacks and checking the inventory. The office is just a small room with a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to customers. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in registers. The tea boy comes by twice a day and that is usually when we take a break. In the monsoon, the street gets a bit muddy, but we just put down some planks and keep going. Most of our day is spent talking to people and moving goods around. It is hard work and our hands are usually dirty by lunch. We have been in this spot for years and the weigh bridge people are like family now. It is just a regular trading business in a busy part of town where we get things done.
