We’ve been here at 36/37 Khodiyar Nagar for a good while now. The shop is right near Ram Nagar, so people usually find us pretty easily. Most days start early when we open up the big shutters and get the machines warmed up. It gets a bit noisy once things are moving, but that’s just how it is with wire. There are stacks of coils everywhere, and we spend a lot of time just moving stuff around to make space. It’s not a fancy place, mostly just concrete floors and the smell of metal. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lane when they come for pickups, which is always a bit of a headache. We have a small crew here, mostly guys from around the neighborhood who know the work inside out. Lunch happens when we get a break, usually someone goes out for tea or we just sit on the crates. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us loading up a flatbed or just sorting through the scrap. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late if there is a big order to finish, but we try to get home at a decent hour. The building has seen better days, but the equipment works fine and we know how to handle the different gauges of wire people ask for. Just a regular spot doing what we know.
