We are set up at Plot No. 52 in the Ruda Transport Nagar. It is right near the Sat Hanuman Temple on the main Rajkot Ahmedabad Highway. Being on the highway means there is always a layer of dust on everything, and the sound of trucks never really stops. We do a lot of trading from here. It is a busy place because of all the transport companies nearby. Usually, the morning starts with checking what arrived overnight and what needs to go out before the sun gets too high in the sky. The temple is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We get a lot of drivers stopping in, asking for directions or looking for where they need to drop their loads. The office is small and usually has a few people sitting around talking about fuel prices or the state of the roads. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just handle the goods and make sure the paperwork is mostly correct. It is a rough and tumble kind of area, but it works for what we do. Some days the heat on the asphalt is enough to melt your shoes, so we stay inside when we can. We have been in this spot for years and know most of the neighbors around here. It is a simple life of buying and selling.
