We’re based out on Gondal Road at Survey No.31, Plot No. 58. It’s right in Raj Chowk, very close to where Falcon Pumps is located in Vavdi. The area is a hub for all sorts of engineering and manufacturing, so there’s always the sound of hammers and engines in the background. At Raj Cooling Systems Pvt.Ltd, we deal with things that help keep other machines from overheating. Our workshop is full of metal frames, fans, and copper piping. It’s a bit of a rugged environment. We don’t wear suits here; it’s mostly work clothes that usually end up with a bit of oil or dirt on them by noon. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoons, making it quite warm, but we’re used to it. We have a small yard where we load the finished cooling units onto the trailers. Most of us have been in this trade for a long time, so we can tell if a machine is running right just by the sound it makes. Vavdi is a busy place, especially with all the transport trucks moving through Gondal Road. We just stick to our plot and keep building the units. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work for the factories around here. We take things one day at a time and try to make sure nothing leaves the shop if it isn’t ready. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy.
