M M Ornaments

We are tucked away in Jasoda Villa, which is part of Raghuvir Para. It is right on GK Road, just across from where Gujarat Essence is located. Our space is 7/8, and it’s a bit cramped because of all the tools and materials we keep around. Most days start early with setting up the workbenches. It is quiet in the mornings, but the road gets loud once the shops nearby open up. We make ornaments and small pieces, so there’s a lot of sitting and looking closely at things. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but that’s just the job. We don’t have a big showroom with glass cases everywhere. It is more of a workshop where we actually do the making. People stop by to drop off orders or just to chat about what they need for a wedding or a gift. We usually have a pot of tea going or we order from the place next door. The building itself is older, so it has some character, and maybe a few leaks when it rains hard in Rajkot. We’ve been in this spot for a good while and the neighbors are all friendly enough. It's not a corporate office with air conditioning in every room. We just have our fans and the windows open when the weather allows it. It is honest work and we keep busy enough to stay out of trouble during the long afternoons.
