You can find us at Paresh Estate, right across from the Jaynath Petrol Pump on Gondal Road in Rajkot. It’s a very industrial part of town. The traffic on Gondal Road is almost always heavy, so there is a lot of dust and noise. Our unit is just one of many in this estate. Inside, it’s mostly metal and machines. We do industrial work, which means we are usually covered in a bit of grease by the end of the day. It’s not a clean-shirt kind of job. We’ve been in Rajkot for years now. The guys who work here are local. We have our tea breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. We don't have a human resources department or anything like that. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out on the floor. Our office is just a desk with a ledger and an old computer. We don't really do the whole social media thing. People know R J Industries because they’ve been buying from us for a long time. It’s a straightforward business. We make what's needed and we send it out. Sometimes the machines break down and we spend the whole afternoon fixing them. That’s just how it goes in this line of work. We keep the doors open and the fans going and just get through the orders as they come in. It’s hard work but it keeps us going every day.
