Our hospital is over here on Gondal Road in Rajkot, right in Vijay Plot on Street Number 6. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Kathiyawad Balashram. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise from the bikes and rickshaws going past the front gate. We have been here for some time now, and the building has seen a lot of people come and go. We aren't trying to be one of those glass-walled places that looks like a fancy hotel. It’s a hospital first. The staff usually gets in before eight to hand over the night shift stuff and check the patient files. We have different departments because we handle various health issues, and that means the hallways are often full of people looking for specific rooms. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we always tell people to take it slow. Sometimes the tea stall down the street is where we get our break snacks when we have a spare ten minutes. Being in Rajkot, we get people from all over the surrounding villages too. They usually arrive early in the morning on the buses. We try to keep the registration desk moving so nobody has to wait outside in the sun for too long. It’s a practical place. We don't use big words to describe ourselves, we just open the doors every day and do the tasks.
