Perfect Forgings

Down in Street No. 2 of Umakant Pandit Udyognagar, you will find us at Perfect Forgings. Rajkot is famous for this kind of work, and our little corner of the city is no different. It’s a tight street, and sometimes getting a truck in here is a real headache, especially if someone parked their scooter in the wrong spot. Our workshop is packed with equipment, and it gets pretty loud when everything is running at once. We’ve been here in the 360004 zip code for quite a while. The walls inside are stained from years of soot and oil, which is just part of the forging life. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or air-conditioned lobbies. Most of the time, the owner is right there on the floor with the rest of the crew, probably covered in a bit of dust. We deal with the heat as best we can, usually with a few big fans that mostly just move the warm air around. People come in through the main door and usually have to wait a second for someone to notice them over the clanging of metal. It is a very hands-on environment. We don’t have a lot of paperwork or complicated systems; we just look at what needs to be made and get to work on it. It’s honest, gritty work, and that’s how we like it. The day starts early and ends when the last hammer stops hitting the iron.
