Perfect Forgings

You can find us over on Street No. 2 in the Umakant Pandit area of Udyognagar. It’s a busy part of town with lots of workshops. Perfect Forgings has been at this spot for a while now. Most days it’s just the sound of the machines and getting through the stack of orders we have on the books. The work involves metal parts, mostly forging that requires a lot of heat and heavy equipment to get the shapes right. It isn't clean work, but that's just part of the job. There’s usually a layer of dust on everything and the strong smell of hot steel in the air. We keep the shop open fairly early and stay until the day's load is finished. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when the summer heat gets intense in Rajkot, but we manage. Local people know where to find us if they need something specific made out of metal. There isn't a big front office or a fancy reception area or anything like that. It’s mostly just the workshop floor and a small corner for handling the daily paperwork. Raw materials come in and we try to get the finished pieces out to the customers without too much delay. The machines need a lot of looking after so they don't break down while working. We aren't doing anything fancy. It’s just steady work on Street No. 2. If you walk past, you'll see the guys moving parts around or unloading trucks. It stays busy and keeps everyone moving.
