Parmar Art is tucked away on Mill Para Main Road, specifically at Office No. 9 near the Laxmiwadi Corner. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze around here because the corner gets a lot of traffic throughout the day. Our office isn’t much to look at from the street, just a door and a small window where we put some of our work. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting at the desks or working on the floor when we have a big project that needs more space. The walls have some old calendars and sketches pinned up from years ago. It’s a bit messy with papers and tools scattered about, but that’s how we work best. You can hear the sounds of the main road all day long—mostly horns and people shouting. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we are used to the noise by now. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the corner for a bit until it comes back on. We know the other shop owners around Laxmiwadi, so there’s always someone to talk to. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are stuck in traffic at the corner. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, in our little office.
