P. P. M. Brothers

You can find us over on S. V. P. Road, which everyone just calls the Canal Road anyway. We’re right near the old cloth mill in Rajkot, which is a landmark most people in the neighborhood know. P. P. M. Brothers has been operating out of this area for a long time. The street is usually packed with traffic and people heading to the market. Inside, it’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day business, talking to people who drop by, and keeping track of the stock. The building is older, with high ceilings that keep it a bit cooler when the Rajkot heat gets really bad in May. We don’t have a big team, just enough of us to keep things moving. There is always a layer of dust from the road that settles on everything, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s a simple setup. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around the mill. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the crates that come in from the suppliers. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the afternoon slump hits, and we sit by the door to catch a breeze from the street. It’s 360002, a busy part of Gujarat, and we are just another part of the scenery on this busy road.
