ORIENT BEARINGS CO. PVT. LTD. is situated at Door No. C-1/280 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Specifically, we are in the Aji Industrial Estate area. It’s a massive place with hundreds of units just like ours. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the estate grow and change. Our building is a standard industrial unit. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with bearings of every size you can think of. We deal with a lot of local factories that need parts in a hurry. The air in Aji Industrial Estate usually smells like metal and exhaust. It’s a hardworking part of town. We open up early and usually stay until the last order is packed. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a team of us who know the inventory inside out. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to hear the machines next door. We keep our records mostly by hand or on an old computer. It works for us. People know where to find us at C-1/280. We don't do much in the way of promotion. We just rely on the fact that we have the stock when someone needs it. It’s a practical business for a practical area. The floors are concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a good place to work. We are just a local company doing our bit in the GIDC estate and keeping folks supplied.
