We like it this way because it feels more personal and we can keep a close eye on everything. Since we are based in a "Resi" location, our work life and home life sort of blend together. The phone might ring at dinner time, but we just answer it because that is the business. We handle the logistical side of things, like planning routes and talking to carriers. We do not have a big fleet of our own trucks, but we know plenty of people who do. It is all about the connections we have made over the years. Running a logistics company from a home base requires a lot of organization. We have files stacked up in the spare room and maps spread out on the table.
