Om Heat Treatment

Our shop, Om Heat Treatment, is located on the Village Main Road, Nr. Captain Tractors. We handle heat treatment for various metal parts, which means it gets pretty hot in here most of the time. We have several furnaces that run throughout the day and sometimes into the night. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, as there is always soot and the smell of hot metal in the air. We’ve been at this location for quite a while, working out of Plot No. 6, 7 and Survey No. 1, 2. It’s a practical setup designed for the work we do, not for looking pretty. We spend our time monitoring temperatures and making sure the metal spends exactly the right amount of time in the heat. It’s a bit of a technical process, but after you’ve done it for years, it becomes second nature. Most of the businesses around us are also industrial, so we fit right in. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and comes to talk to you. We just focus on the orders we have and try to get the metal back to our customers when promised. It’s hard, physical labor, and the environment is tough, but we are used to it. That’s just how the days go when you're working with furnaces.
