Om Art Galary

If you’re looking for Om Art Galary, we are on the first floor of Arthik Bhavan on Gondal Road. We are pretty close to the Bombay Garge Petrol Pump, so it’s easy to find once you know what to look for. It’s not a giant museum or a fancy hall, just our little space where we hang things up on the walls. We spend a lot of time moving frames around and trying to get the lighting right, which is harder than it looks. Sometimes it’s very quiet and we just sit here, other times people wander in after getting gas nearby or while waiting for a ride. We’ve got all sorts of stuff on display, and it’s a bit cramped in here with all the packing supplies in the back. We aren't art experts in suits, we just like how things look and enjoy the process. People come by to chat or just look around for a few minutes. We’ve been here at number 30 for a while now. It’s a good spot. We try to keep things fresh by changing what’s on the walls whenever we get something new. It’s a lot of dust and cleaning glass, to be honest. But seeing a piece find a new home is always a nice feeling. We don't have a website that works right half the time, so people mostly just drop in to see us. It’s a local business, through and through.
