Olympic Plastics Pvt. Ltd.

We’ve been here at Survey No. 34 (Paiki) on NH-8B for a good while now. It’s right across from Raino Foam, which helps people find us when they get lost on the highway. Olympic Plastics is mostly just a bunch of us working with machines all day. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and get the work done. We started out small and just kept adding a few things here and there. The trucks come in and out from the main road, and sometimes the traffic is a real headache, especially during the monsoon when the road gets muddy. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks and the workshop floor where the actual work happens. Most of the guys have been with us for years. We know each other's families and what's going on in the neighborhood. We make plastic items that people need for their own businesses. It’s not glamorous work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. If someone calls looking for something we don't make, we usually tell them where else to look. That's just how things go around here. You can hear the machines humming from the street. It’s a bit noisy, but it means we are working. We stay until the job is finished, even if it means staying a bit late on Fridays.
