We’re located at 210 in the Somnath Complex, which is very close to the S. T. Bus Stand in Rajkot. Being so close to the bus stand means there is a constant flow of people and noise right outside our door. It’s a busy spot, and we’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the horns anymore. The office is on the second floor, and it’s filled with samples and sales catalogs. We do a lot of trading and sales work, so there are always people coming in to look at what we have or to talk about prices. It’s not a very big space, so things can get a bit cluttered. We have a few chairs for visitors, but they’re usually covered in folders or mail. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating. It’s just a place to do business. Most of our days are spent on the phone or writing out orders by hand. We know a lot of the other shopkeepers in the Somnath Complex, and we often share a meal or a tea in the afternoon. It’s a friendly atmosphere, even when things are busy. We don’t have any big slogans or mission statements. We just show up every morning, open the shop, and see what the day brings. It’s a straightforward life, and we’re happy to be part of the Rajkot business community.
