Our place is out on Kalawad Road in the Metoda GIDC area. Plot G-1888 is where we do all our casting. It’s hot work, especially when the furnaces are running full blast. You get used to the heat after a while, I guess. Nirav Technocast isn’t a huge operation, but we have enough space to handle the molds and the pouring without tripping over each other. The floor is mostly sand and dirt, which is just how a foundry is. We have a small office near the front where we keep the paperwork, but I’m usually out on the floor. Most of the workers have been here since we opened. We know how the metal behaves and what can go wrong if you aren't careful. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving heavy things and making sure the temperature is just right. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything. People come to us because they need parts cast and they know we’ve been doing it for years. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. It’s a tight community here in Metoda. Everyone knows everyone else's business. We just try to do our part and get the orders shipped out on time. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a mess, but we manage. It’s just honest work in a tough environment, and we’re okay with that.
