Monarch Appliances

Monarch Appliances is based in Rajkot, over at the Jeel Complex on Gondal Road. It’s unit number 16 in the Vijay Plot area. We deal with appliances, so there’s always something being moved around or checked. The complex is a busy place with a lot of different businesses. Gondal Road is one of those streets that never seems to sleep. There’s always a truck or a rickshaw going by. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the city grow around us. The office itself is full of catalogs and spare parts. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a big staff. It's mostly just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We handle the sales and the service side of things. If someone’s fridge or stove breaks, they usually call us because they know we’ve been in the neighborhood forever. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing stuff. People just know our face. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. The summers get really hot in Rajkot, so we have a pretty good air conditioner in the office. It’s our favorite piece of equipment. We just take things one day at a time and try to get the appliances back in working order. That is really all there is to it. We stay busy and we stay happy.
