Mital Copper Industries

Mital Copper Industries is situated right on the SIDC Main Road at Survey No. 161. It’s a pretty busy stretch of road, so there is always something going on outside our doors. We work with copper here, which means the place has a certain smell and look to it. There are bins of scrap and finished pieces scattered around the work floor. It’s a practical environment. We don’t spend money on fancy paint or decorations because the work is what matters. The machines are old but they run well enough for what we need. A small group of us handles the daily tasks, from unloading the raw materials to getting the copper ready for the next stage. It can get loud, so we usually use hand signals when the machines are at full tilt. We get a lot of dust from the main road, especially in the dry season when the trucks go past. There isn't a lot of space for a proper office, so the desk is just tucked into a corner near the main entrance. We keep our own hours for the most part, depending on how much work we have piled up. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work, so we all know each other. It’s just a standard day-to-day operation where we try to stay busy and keep things moving along without making much of a fuss about it.
