Midland Industries

Midland Industries is located out in Shapar Veraval. If you know this area, you know it’s full of factories and small industrial units. We are one of those units. We’ve been here for several years now, working in the manufacturing sector. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place to be. The roads are often dusty and there’s always a lot of traffic from heavy lorries coming and going. Our workshop is pretty standard for Shapar. We’ve got the equipment we need and a small yard for loading stuff. We do a lot of metal work and parts production. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in work boots and grease-stained shirts. We take our jobs seriously, though. When an order comes in, we get the machines started and stay until it’s finished. There isn't much to the office side of things. It's mostly just a desk with a lot of invoices and a telephone that rings a bit too often. We like being in Shapar because all the suppliers are nearby. If we need a specific tool or a piece of steel, we can usually find it just down the road. It’s a practical place to run a business like this. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. Every bit of profit goes back into the machines and the shed. It’s just how we do things here every day.
