Mehta Watch Industries

We are located in the Pramukhswami Arcade, specifically in Wing B on the 5th floor. If you are looking for Mehta Watch Industries, we are in Office No.3. The building is right across from where the Gaisford Talkies used to be. It’s a busy area with a lot of shops and people going to the movies or out for food. Being on the 5th floor, we get a bit away from the street noise, but the lift is often slow so we end up taking the stairs. Our office is small and filled with tiny tools and watch parts. It is very quiet work compared to the street below. We spend hours looking through lenses at small gears and springs. The light in the office is very bright so we can see what we are doing. We have been in this arcade for many years. We know the other shopkeepers on our floor. We usually have a cup of tea together in the afternoon. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because they need something fixed or they heard about us from a friend. We keep a ledger of all the work we do by hand. It’s a bit old school but it works for us. The office can get a bit cluttered with boxes, but we know where everything is. It’s just a small local business. We keep the watches ticking and the customers happy in our own way. We take pride in the concentration it takes every day.
