If you head down toward Kranti Gate in the G.I.D.C area, you’ll find us at Plot No 2234. We work with CNC machines here at Macpower, which means there is always a lot of technical stuff going on. It’s a big space but it fills up fast with the equipment and parts. Some of us have been here since the beginning, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. We deal with computers and heavy metal all day long. It can get a bit loud, and the smell of cutting oil is pretty much stuck in our clothes. We aren't really the type to sit in meetings all day; we’d rather be out by the machines seeing how they’re running. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, so we stay late to finish it up. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. The gate is usually open during the day, and there’s always a truck or two coming or going with deliveries. We don't have a big front desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you just find one of the guys covered in grease to help you out. We’ve got a rhythm here that works for us. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep the machines moving and the orders going out on time.
