Tamanna

We are located at Parishram Plaza on Mangala Road, right near Lodhawad Chowk in Rajkot. The shop is called Tamanna. It is a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the rickshaws and people walking by. We sell clothes and accessories, mostly. It’s a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang things up. We don't have a fancy display window or a team of decorators. We just put out what we have and hope people like it. Most of the time, it’s just one or two of us here. We spend the mornings cleaning the glass counters and dusting the shelves because the road outside brings in a lot of dust. We don't have a big philosophy or a "vision." We just want to sell things that people want to buy. If someone comes in looking for something specific, we try to find it in the back, though the back room is a bit of a mess right now. We have a small stool for people to sit on if they’re tired. It’s a plain shop, and we like it that way. We know the other shopkeepers on the block, and we usually have our lunch together. We aren't trying to become a huge chain. We’re just happy being here in Parishram Plaza, serving the people who walk through our door every day. Sometimes the fan makes a rattling noise, but it still keeps us cool.
