Pooja Sales

You can find us at No. 4 Mahadev Vadi. It’s right on Laxmi Nagar Main Road. We are directly opposite the Haveli. That makes it easy for people to find us. We get a lot of foot traffic from the people going there. Pooja Sales has been here for years. The shop is small and packed with items. We sell all sorts of things that people need for their homes. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. I usually have to use a ladder to reach the stuff on the top. It’s a bit wobbly. The floor is old tile. It’s cracked in a few places near the counter. We don't really notice it anymore. During the festivals, the road gets very crowded. You can hardly move outside. We keep the doors open to let some air in. Laxmi Nagar is a loud neighborhood. There is always music or someone shouting. We like the energy of it. We talk to the people who walk in. Some are regulars who live nearby. Others are just passing through. We spend our day counting stock and cleaning the glass cases. It gets dusty because of all the cars on the main road. We wipe things down every morning. It’s just us here most of the time. We take turns going for tea across the street. It’s a basic shop, but it keeps us busy. We stay open late most nights because that is when the most people are out walking near the Haveli.
