Lakheshwar Ring Brass Works

If you’re ever driving down the 80 Feet Road in Bapunagar, you’ll find us right across from Dena Bank. This part of Rajkot is always humming with noise. At Lakheshwar Ring Brass Works, the sound of metal hitting metal is just part of the background music we hear every day. We spend our time working with brass, mostly making rings and various small parts that people need for their own projects. The floor is usually covered in little shavings of yellow metal that we have to sweep up at the end of every shift. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months, but the big fans keep the air moving a little bit. We don't really do anything besides show up and get through the orders we have on the bench. It’s a small shop, not one of those big factories you see in the industrial zones. Being near the bank makes it easy for folks to explain where we are located. Most of the neighbors know us by now since we've been here a while. We usually have a tea break in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst. You won’t find anything fancy here, just some workbenches, old tools, and the smell of oil and metal. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets so loud we have to shout over it, but that's just Bapunagar for you. We just try to keep the lathes running and make sure the sizes are right.
