Meet Dies

Our workshop is at Shade-1, Plot No. 87/1. It is directly opposite Jalsagar in the Khodiyar Nagar area on Gondel Road. It is an industrial spot, so there is a lot of grease and metal around. We work on dies and molds here mostly. The machines take up most of the floor space. It gets loud when everything is running at once, and you have to raise your voice to be heard. The air usually smells like cutting oil and cold metal. We have been in this shade for a good bit of time. The lighting isn't the greatest, but we have enough lamps over the benches to see what we are doing with the precision parts. Khodiyar Nagar is always active with trucks moving in and out of the various plots. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall down the road just to take a break from the noise. We don't have any big office staff or anything. It is just the workers and the machines. The floor is concrete and has some stains from years of work. We keep our tools on the wall so they don't get lost in the scrap. It is a tough environment but it is what we know. People find us because of the location near Jalsagar. We spend our time making sure the dimensions are what they should be. It’s a hard way to make a living, but we have been at it for years.
