Keshubhai Mehta Eye Hospital is right on Karansinhji Main Road in the Karanpara area. If you know Rajkot at all, you know this part of town is always moving. There are shops everywhere and the street is usually full of bikes and cars. We are in the middle of all that. People come in from the street with all sorts of eye problems, some just needing new glasses and others coming for bigger issues. The waiting room gets full pretty quickly in the mornings. We have a lot of older folks who come in, often brought by their kids or grandkids. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the files and making sure everyone sees the right person. The building has been here for a long time, so it has that lived-in feel. We don't try to make it look like a five-star hotel; it’s a hospital first. The floors are clean but worn down from all the feet walking over them every day. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when many people arrive at once, but we just handle it one person at a time. It’s a straightforward place. We open up, check people's vision, and help them with their eye health. There is always someone coming or going, and the sound of the main road is always there in the background. It is just how life is here in the center of town.
