Khyati Sales

Khyati Sales is located at 9, Karanpara, right on Karansinhji Road. It is a fairly central spot, so we see a lot of people passing by throughout the day. The building is an older one, and our space is on the ground floor which makes it easy for loading things in and out. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and a few old wooden desks. We don’t have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that click a bit when they are on the highest setting. Most of our morning is spent checking what came in the previous evening and making sure the ledgers are up to date. We still use paper books for a lot of things because it just feels more reliable than a computer sometimes. The street outside is usually lined with parked scooters, and sometimes it’s a struggle to find a spot if you come in late. We have a small water cooler in the corner for anyone who gets thirsty. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; we don't wear uniforms or have big meetings. We just talk about what needs to be done over a cup of tea and then get to it. It’s a small team, and we’ve all known each other for a long time, so there isn't much formality in the office. We just try to stay busy and keep the shelves stocked with whatever the customers are looking for this week.
