Kaneria Technocast

We are out here in the S.I.D.C. Industrial Area. It’s near Shantidham Society in Veraval Shapar. If you know Rajkot, you know this part of town is all about industry. Kaneria Technocast is just one of many plants here. Our plot number is 58. It gets hot in the summer, really hot. We have the furnace going and the workers are used to the heat. We’ve been at this location for some time now. The roads get dusty when the trucks go by. It’s a messy job sometimes, but someone has to do it. We make castings. It's heavy work and you have to be careful. There’s a lot of metal moving around. Most of us live nearby or commute from the city. We start early to beat the worst of the sun. The lunch break is the best part of the day when we sit together and talk about whatever is happening in Veraval Shapar. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer phones professionally. Usually, people just find us because they need parts for their own machines. We deal with the local suppliers and keep things simple. Gujarat is a busy place for this kind of work. You can hear the sounds of other factories all around us. It never really gets quiet until late at night. We just try to do a decent job and go home to our families. Plot 58 is where you’ll find the guys working hard every day.
