Bombay Ortho Industries

You can find us at G/551 in the Metoda G.I.D.C. area. We are located near Gate No. 3, which is the easiest way to get in from Kalawad Road. Being in Lodhika means we are surrounded by all sorts of other workshops and factories. We focus on ortho industries, which basically means we handle products for bone health and surgeries. It’s an industrial environment, so there’s always the sound of machinery and big trucks coming and going at all hours. Our space is mostly taken up by equipment and materials. We don't have a lot of office space, just enough to do the billing and take some phone calls. The workers here have been with us for a while and they know the routine. We usually start quite early to beat the heat of the day. The G.I.D.C. is a big place, so we often tell people to look for Gate 3 so they don't get lost in the maze of plots. It’s not a pretty place, just lots of concrete and metal, but it’s where the real work gets done. We aren’t interested in being fancy or looking corporate. We just want to make sure the ortho products we handle are solid and go out on time to the hospitals. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the area, which slows us down, but we just pick up where we left off when it comes back. It’s just how it is working in an industrial zone like Metoda. It's tough but honest work.
