We’ve been here at Plot G/1326-27 in the Gidc-Lodhika area for a good while now. It’s a busy spot off Kalavad Road, right near the Khirasara post office. Most mornings start early because the forge gets hot once the sun comes up and the hammers start moving. It’s loud work, honestly. You get used to the rhythm of the metal hitting metal after a few days on the floor. Our guys mostly live nearby or commute in from the surrounding villages. We spend a lot of time just keeping the equipment running and making sure the orders get loaded onto the trucks properly. It’s not fancy here. There’s usually dust on the windows and the smell of grease in the air, but that’s just how an industrial estate works. We have a small office where we handle the paperwork, but most of the action happens out back. Sometimes the power cuts out or a part breaks, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a practical life, making parts that go into bigger things we never really see. We just focus on the pieces in front of us. If you’re looking for us, look for the big sign near the corner of the GIDC. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but we’ve managed to stay put and keep the fires going. The tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks.
