Our office for K. J. D. Exim Pvt. Ltd. is over in Rajkot, specifically in the Umakant Pandit Udhyog Nagar area on Main Road - 2 in Amar Nagar. Rajkot is a major hub for industry, and we are right in the thick of it. We spend our time dealing with exports and imports, which means a lot of coordination and checking on shipping containers that come and go. The office is pretty functional with computers and stacks of documents everywhere on the desks. Since we are on the main road, it is easy for people to find us, but the traffic noise can be quite something during the busy hours of the day. We have a small warehouse space attached where we check the goods before they go out for shipping. It gets pretty hot here in Gujarat during the summer, so we keep the fans going full blast all day long. We are not into fancy business talk; we just focus on getting the items from point A to point B without any trouble. Sometimes there are delays at the port or with the trucks, and we have to spend hours on the phone fixing things with the drivers or agents. It is just the nature of the business we are in. We have been doing this for several years now and have a good handle on how the local industry works. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad for the staff working here.
