J.K.Transport & Construction

Our base is in Dharamadi Vanta. It is a small place near Badarpura in the Bayad area of Sabarkantha. We have a mix of transport and construction work going on. We have some trucks and some heavy machines for digging. Gujarat is a busy state for building things, even in the rural parts like ours. We mostly help local farmers move their goods or help with small building projects in the taluka. The yard is usually full of gravel or sand depending on the job. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and the office stuff. It is very dusty because of all the trucks coming in and out. My brother and I run things mostly. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just call us or come by the house in the village. The weather in Sabarkantha is very dry for most of the year. We start work very early, usually around five, to beat the heat of the sun. The trucks need a lot of maintenance because the village roads are not very good. We do most of the repairs ourselves right here in the yard. It is a practical life. We don't have any fancy corporate titles. We just make sure the trucks are running and the work gets finished. That is how it has always been for us here. We try to keep things simple and honest.
