You can find us at 1, Mani Nagar, which is right near Ashok Garden in the Movadi Plot area. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads. J. K. Machine Tools (Guj.) Pvt. Ltd. has been here for years. Even though the name says Pvt. Ltd., we still run it like a local shop. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We walk to work or take the scooter. The garden nearby is a nice landmark for people who haven't visited us before. Inside the building, it’s mostly shelves filled with parts and some of the bigger machines standing on the concrete floor. We deal with a lot of local workshops and small factories around Gujarat. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it because we’re usually too busy with the actual work. We don't do much on the internet. People just call us or drop by when they need a new machine or some maintenance tools. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have any scripted speeches. If a machine works, it works. If it doesn't, we fix it or find one that does. My cousin helps with the accounts and I handle the floor. We’ve seen the neighborhood grow up around us. Movadi Plot has changed so much over the years, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We start early, have our lunch, and stay until the work is done. It’s simple and it works for our family.
