Alina Bio Science

Being inside Iscon Mall has its ups and downs. Our place, Alina Bio Science, is at unit 311. It’s quite near the Big Bazar—actually, it is mentioned twice on our address card, which is a bit of a laugh. You can always hear the sound of shoppers and the mall music in the background. It is a bit strange running this kind of business in a shopping center, but the location works for us. The air conditioning is the best part, honestly, especially when the sun is beating down on the parking lot outside. We spend a lot of our time in the back area where it’s more like a lab or an office than a retail shop. Sometimes people wander in thinking we sell clothes or electronics because of where we are located. We have to tell them we are doing something else entirely. The mall security knows us well by now, and we usually get our coffee from the food court. It's a clean space, but a bit cramped with all the equipment and boxes we have stacked up near the door. We probably should organize the shelves better, but there is never enough time in the day. The lights are those bright fluorescent ones that make everything look very sharp. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we’ve made our little corner feel like a proper workplace amidst all the shopping chaos. We stay late most nights when the mall is quiet to finish up.
