Ira Flat Owners Association

We run the Ira Flat Owners Association from the D-Cube area near the H M Udeshi building. It’s part of the Ira Flat Common space on Kalawad Road. We’re located in Suryodaya Society, specifically at Pl-27-B/1/2/3. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s home for us. Being an association means we are basically just a group of neighbors trying to keep the flats in good shape. We deal with all the stuff you’d expect, like fixing the plumbing in the common areas or arguing about where people park their scooters. Kalawad Road is always buzzing with traffic, so it’s never really quiet here. We meet up at the common office whenever there’s an issue to settle. It’s a very informal thing. Someone usually brings tea, and we sit around and talk about the budget or the security guards. The building itself is okay, but it’s getting older, so there is always something needing repair. We don't have a professional manager; we just do it ourselves in our spare time. It’s a lot of work for no pay, but we want the place to be nice for our families. Sometimes we have small events in the common plot for the kids. Most of the residents have been here for a long time, so we all know each other’s business. It’s just how things are at Ira Flats. We try to keep things fair for everyone.
