Indian Fashion Jewellery

You can find us at the Municipal Market, right near the Government Kuva. That’s a landmark most people in the area know well. Indian Fashion Jewellery is a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases and little boxes. It’s always a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of variety on the shelves. The market is noisy from early morning, with vendors shouting and people walking by. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The lights inside are a bit bright so people can see the details on the pieces, but it gets hot under them. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass because fingerprints get everywhere. It’s a lot of small work, handling tiny earrings and necklaces all day. Sometimes we lose a small screw on the floor and everyone has to stop and look for it. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big office. It’s just a counter and some stools for us to sit on. When it rains, the water sometimes splashes near the entrance, so we have to move things back. Dealing with the crowd in the market is just part of the daily routine. We know the other sellers nearby and often share a meal or a cup of tea during the quiet hours. It’s a humble place, but it keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every single day.
